A Sophiticated Wedding at Whistle Bear Golf Club
As the snow begins to fade and warmer breezes roll in, so does something we lovingly call in the wedding industry — wedding season. It’s the time of year when weekends are filled with beautiful celebrations, stunning floral designs, and creating unforgettable memories for our couples.
We were so excited to kick off the season with Danielle and Dan at the breathtaking Whistle Bear Golf Club. Their wedding featured our Forever Flowers throughout the ceremony and reception, with fresh florals reserved for their personal flowers.
The couple chose a timeless white and green colour palette, creating an elegant and romantic atmosphere for their day. One of the standout pieces was our new Pure Elegance Arch — a lush floral design filled with all-white blooms accented with soft greenery. Featuring hydrangeas, roses, peonies, orchids, and cosmos, the arch created the perfect backdrop for Danielle and Dan to say “I do.”
Full, romantic, and effortlessly elegant, every floral detail came together beautifully to celebrate the start of a brand new wedding season.
Welcoming Guests
As guests arrived at Whistle Bear Golf Club, they were greeted by a stunning custom fabric welcome sign created by Danielle and Dan. The soft fabric paired beautifully with the elegant white and green wedding design, setting the tone for the celebration ahead.
With a windy spring day in full swing, we moved the sign inside the Garden Chapel to keep it secure and perfectly styled for guests to enjoy. To complete the look, we added a delicate floral arrangement at the base of the sign featuring soft white blooms and touches of greenery.
After the ceremony, the flowers were thoughtfully repurposed onto a gold stand at the welcome table, allowing the design to transition seamlessly throughout the day while making the most of every floral detail.
Reception Space
For the reception space at Whistle Bear Golf Club, Danielle and Dan wanted a design that felt elegant, romantic, and welcoming for their guests.
On the harvest tables, we layered our soft crinkle table runners to create a beautiful base for the floral designs. I always love the look of table runners flowing gently off the ends of the tables — it instantly adds movement and elegance to the space.
We then styled the tables with our Forever Flower eucalyptus garlands, weaving in lush hydrangeas and roses throughout for a timeless white and green look. To complete the design, we added pillar candles in cylinder vases down the centre of the tables. There’s something so special about candlelight during dinner service — the soft glow creates such a warm and romantic atmosphere.
Danielle and Dan also incorporated a few round guest tables into the room design. For these tables, we used our Forever Flower greenery to surround a trio of pillar candles, creating a simple yet elevated centerpiece. To tie everything together, we added delicate touches of fresh spray roses throughout the greenery for an extra layer of softness and texture.
The entire space came together beautifully and perfectly reflected the vision Danielle and Dan had imagined for their wedding day.
The Sweetheart Table
Once the ceremony concluded at Whistle Bear Golf Club, we repurposed several of the ceremony garlands onto Danielle and Dan’s sweetheart table, allowing the greenery to flow gracefully across the front of the table and cascade onto the floor for an added touch of romance and softness.
We also moved the stunning Pure Elegance Arch behind the table, creating a breathtaking focal point for the couple as they celebrated the evening surrounded by family and friends. The combination of lush white blooms, layered greenery, and candlelight created such an inviting and intimate space for Danielle and Dan to enjoy throughout the night.
From the emotional moments at the beginning of the day to the hugs, laughter, and celebration that filled the room by the end of the evening, it was truly a joy to work with these two beautiful people.
One of the most rewarding parts of this work is being trusted to help bring a couple’s vision to life and to be part of such an important chapter in their story. Every wedding day feels a little bittersweet at the end — so much excitement and beauty has gone into creating the celebration, and while I’m always incredibly grateful to have been part of it, there’s always a little sadness in saying goodbye after such a meaningful day.
With love & flowers,
Sarah
