As the days begin to get warmer, I am starting to get excited for the busy wedding season ahead. Not only do we have some wonderful weddings taking place this year, but our Forever Flower line will also be showing up in multiple ways.
This month I thought it would be fun to walk through what a wedding design could look like using some of our Forever Flowers pieces.
Putting together a full room design always helps my couples visualize how everything works together from the ceremony through to the reception, and how pieces can be repurposed throughout the day.
Let’s begin with the Ceremony Space. In April our all new white and green floral arch will be making its debut at Whistle Bear Golf Club! I cannot wait to see this stunning piece set the stage for a wonderful couple. This piece is filled with peonies, roses, hydrangeas galore, eucalyptus, and of course some pops of ranunculus, lisianthus, and orchids — all the favorites for weddings.
If you were to have this made with fresh flowers it would be around $3000 or possibly a little more. With Forever Flowers, you can rent this stunning piece for only $900. It’s light enough that we can move it from ceremony to reception, which makes this piece very versatile as well.
We could also adorn the aisle with arrangements like the one below. Once the ceremony is over we can then repurpose them to the round tables in the reception room.
Designing the Reception Room
Sticking with the all white theme, let’s start to pair together a look for the reception room.
We are in and out of the Pearle Hospitality venues quite a bit, so I will showcase some ideas that work well within these venues from past weddings we have designed.
Let’s begin with the round tables. Imagining this wedding is at Whistle Bear Golf Club, in the Forestview Room. The high ceilings and open concept room are very inviting for a tall centerpiece to break up the height of the space.
We would bring the aisle arrangements over and place them on gold stands to bring some stunning height to the room. You can have some Monet candles surrounding the arrangement to add a soft glow.
Pricing for Round table setup: $125
-
Floral Arrangement and Gold Stand – $100
-
Monet candle holders (3 per table) – $25
Styling Harvest Tables with Greenery and Candles
The harvest tables can start with an ivory table runner that falls gracefully to the floor. This creates the perfect base for the floral and greenery accents.
We can then adorn the table with a mixture of candle holders and eucalyptus garlands. To elevate the design even more, we can incorporate some white flowers into the garlands — imagine the look in the image below but with pops of white flowers added throughout. Keep in mind that these tables are 12 feet in length, so they make a big impact in the room.
Pricing for 12 ft harvest table setup: $195
-
Table runner – $20
-
Eucalyptus garlands with white flowers – $125
-
Monet candle holders (9 per table) – $50
Sweetheart Table
Let’s say you have a sweetheart table. The ceremony arrangement can be placed behind the table to create a beautiful focal point. We can then place your bridal bouquet on the table with some Monet candles for a simple but romantic look.
Pricing for Sweet Heart Table setup: $50
- Monet candle holders (3 per side) – $50
Welcome Table
Let’s not forget the welcome table. For the welcome table we can use one low arrangement to accent the table with a couple candles to fill in the space.
Pricing for Welcome Table setup: $53
- White Floral Arrangement – $35
- Cylinder Vases with Floating Candles – $18
A Quick Tally
Now, let’s do a quick tally to get an idea of the floral investment for a room like this. Remember, all florals in this design are from the Forever Flowers line, which means they are rentals. The prices below do not include personal flowers, which are always done with fresh flowers, nor do they include setup or pickup fees.
-
Ceremony Arch – $900
-
6 Round Tables – $750
-
10 Harvest Tables – $1,950
-
Sweetheart Table – $50
-
Welcome Table – $53
Total – $3, 703 before taxes
Final Thoughts
Every wedding is a little different, and putting together designs like this is always one of my favorite parts of the planning process. It’s fun to see how the ceremony, reception, and small details can all come together to create a cohesive look for the day. I’m looking forward to sharing more designs, ideas, and behind-the-scenes moments as the wedding season unfolds.
Also stay tuned as our catalog is almost ready! Just a few more touches next week and we will have that up and ready on the website with pricing of all our rental items. You can always rent these flowers for other ocations like Bridal Showers, baby’s showers or a special birthday moment! We have no miniums for the rental line as long as its a pick up order. If you would like us to delivery do require a min investment for in town events of $2000. What is in town? Guelph, Fergus, Elora, Erin, KW and Cambridge. If you are out of town let me know where and I will let you know the minium investment needed to book a full set up.
With love & flowers,
