Flowers are such a huge part of any celebration, and many of them travel incredible distances to reach us. It’s common for florists to source blooms from all over the world like the U.S., Mexico, Holland, Italy just to name a few. But what about right here at home?
We have some incredible flower farms in Canada, though our growing season is shorter and many farms are small-scale. This can make it tricky to source everything locally for larger weddings, but I still love supporting our local growers as much as possible.
Whenever I can, I use locally grown flowers for personal pieces and focal arrangements. If you’re open to a little flexibility with your flower choices while keeping to a colour palette you love, we can create something absolutely beautiful using fresh, local blooms that are truly one of a kind.
